Ilvera is an independent project. It’s built so that we don’t store any personal data.

What stays with you

Your usage data. Half-hourly readings can show when your home is empty, so they never leave your browser. Your file is read on your device and never uploaded.
Your results. They exist only in the open tab.
We never ask for passwords, and there are no accounts or sign-ups.

Anonymous daily counts: a comparison started or finished, a rough savings band, a switch link clicked, the file format detected, and (if you tell us) which supplier and type of tariff you’re on that we don’t cover yet. No cookies, no identifiers, nothing that links a count to you.
On information pages (not the tool), Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views without cookies.

Octopus Energy’s public API (api.octopus.energy), to fetch current tariff prices and today’s half-hourly prices. If you use the postcode lookup, your postcode goes to Octopus to find your region. Like any website, Octopus sees your IP address when your browser asks. Your usage data is never sent.
Cloudflare, which hosts this site. Like any host, it handles your IP address to deliver pages and to stop abuse (we limit how often the counts can be sent). We don’t store it.
Nothing else. Fonts and everything else on the page come from our own site.
